A set of proofs (as PDF files) will be emailed to the appropriate author (if we don`t have an email address, proofs will be mailed) or a link will be provided in the email so that authors can download the files themselves. Elsevier now provides authors with annotated PDF proofs. To do this, you need to download Adobe Reader version 7 (or later), which is available free of charge from get.adobe.com/reader. Instructions for annotating PDF files are included with the proofs (also online). For system requirements, see the Adobe website: www.adobe.com/products/reader/systemreqs. If you do not wish to use the PDF annotation function, you can list the corrections (including responses to the request form) and email them back to Elsevier. Please indicate your corrections with the line number. If for some reason this is not possible, mark corrections and other comments (including responses to the application form) on a print of your proof and fax it back, scan pages and emails, or mail it. Please use this proof only to check the composition, editing, completeness and accuracy of text, tables and illustrations. Significant changes to the article accepted for publication will only be taken into account at this stage with the permission of the publisher. We will do our best to publish your article quickly and accurately – please let us know all your corrections within 48 hours. It is important to ensure that all corrections are returned to us in a notice: please check carefully before responding, as the inclusion of subsequent corrections cannot be guaranteed.

Proofreading is your sole responsibility. Note that if no response is received, Elsevier may proceed with the publication of your article. In January 2014, Pediatric Blood & Cancer became available online, reflecting a broader trend of scientific journals around the world rapidly moving towards digital-only distribution. Examples of potential competing interests include employment, consulting firms, share ownership, fees, paid expert testimony, patent applications or registrations, grants or other forms of financing. Authors must disclose all their interests in two places: 1. A summary statement of interest in the title page file (if doubly anonymized) or the handwritten file (if anonymized once). If there are no interests to declare, please indicate: “Declarations of interests: none”. 2. Detailed information as part of a separate expression of interest form, which is part of the official documents of the journal. It is important that potential interests are explained in both places and that information is consistent. Learn more.
